Don't take life to seriouly because you'll never get out alive

well I survived last weekend! Friday was the worst because I had to get up at 4:30 to drop my parents off at the airport, so I was already tired and cranky and all I wanted to do was sleep for a couple hours before I started work. well stupid me decides to stop by 121 to get some breakfast except the cafeteria was closed for labor day (even though it wasn't labor day yet!) so I get back in my car and turn the key and absolutely nothing happens. so I spent the next two hours walking back and forth to my car trying to jump it or get it started to no avail. finally tuesday morning we had it towed to the mechanic. turns out it was a corroded cable to the battery. it cost us 55 bucks but at least it is fixed. sigh.

so the rest of the weekend was okay. we flew down to California and while it was fun to see my relatives again I was definately ready to go home. I really missed Steven too :(. Sunday was my cousin's engagement party and omg it was catered with what can only be described as Barbie food! we though that they were appetizers and the real food was coming but nope that was it. plus everything was raw this and raw that and had goat cheese so I couldn't eat it. I ended up hving a couple of burgers the size of quarters and two chocolate donuts the size of a penny : / I was starving!! it was fun shopping with my aunt though. she just kept grabbing clothes so I ended up with three huge bags of baby clothes lol. between those and all the other clothes we have gotten the kid is set for at least 3 months lol I feel like putting on the shower invitations NO MORE CLOTHES!!! Please :) there are so many other little things we need. thankfully all the big stuff has Dibs on by all the grandparents and familia.

Hopefully the rest of this week goes by fastso I can finally spend some time with Steven we have not had time together since Friday :(

it was so nice to have a three day weekend and a break from work! Too bad I had to come back today lol. It was my first day of SWAT and let me just say the switch in buildings did nothing to increase my affections towards this job. I am going to try and ride it out til my maternity leave but then i am so out of here!!

Anyways back to fourth if July. We had to get up early to go to Steven's company party at golden gardens, it was a lot of fun until I passed out in front of little coney lol I am not sure what happened but I think it was the combo if the heat, BBQ smoke, walking, and not drinking enough water. After that we decided to leave because steven was too worried about me lol

we went home for a bit before heading over to his friend jim's house for yet another BBQ lol. It was fun though because everyone had their kids there and there were babies. It reminded us both that next year we would be bring our little one :) at night we set off fireworks which was cool because for the last few years I have only seen the big professional shows. It also made me realize how much I miss family gatherings. I am trying to convince my parents that we should fly down to Cali for labor day. I want steven to come too but he thinks it will be too much money :( we will see what happens.

I am so glad this week is over! With the new orca passes and prime cards coming out it has been a mad house lol. I am also leaving 44 finally!! I have been asking forever to be moved so finally Monday I will be on SWAT it is still sitting at the desk which blows but at least it is something different. I am still holding out hope of getting the team lead position for Jessica's team.

Otherwise everything is the same. I went to the dr on monday and the baby is doing good. He/she has a strong heart beat :). And I am officially in the second trimester yay! I so can't wait until our big ultrasound In august!!

I will be happy when this week is over! It has been long and tiring LOL. The only up side to this week was Monday which was probably the best day of my life to date. Steven and I had our first ultrasound and it was amazing to see and hear our little baby! The best part was when I saw him moving! I almost cried :) knowing that he is okay took a lot of the stress off. I can not believe our next ultrasound we will find out the sex! I can't wait!

I posted the pics of what my sister affectionately calls "the Lima bean" on my facebook if anyone wants to see :) LOL I don't care what she says he is a cute Lima bean!

Well I must admit that Yesterday was too freaking hot for me! I don't mind 90 degree weather but I do mind the humidity that comes with it. Yuck! I also did not like the fact that I found out that my ac was broken while I was in bumper to bumper traffic on 405. pregnant and heat are not a good combination LOL. When I got home I took a cold bath to avoid getting heat stroke. So I am hoping it is going to be a bit cooler 75 is a nice temp LOL.

So it is actually warm outside! And it has lasted over a day. I am in shock! Last night we actually had to open the windows and turn on the fan which is a first for me LOL. I am loving it though. I know people are whining that it is so hot but really this is normal for summer people.

So things have been good with me, so car no morning sickness and since I am already almost 9 weeks the doctor said I am probably in the clear yay! I am been extremely psycho lately though. I feel so bad for Steven because he has to put up with me! I snap at him and then two seconds later I start sobbing LOL. I will be happy when I am back to normal, if he does not leave me first ;)

Well, a lot has happened since I last posted :) as many of you already know Steven and I are going to have a baby :) we had been trying for a few months so I was incredibly happy. Steven has already bought a bunch of stuffed animals LOL. Yesterday we went to our first appointment and everything is going right on schedule. In a week we have our ultrasound and I cannot wait! I found out the beginning of May so I am about 8 weeks.

We got back from Vegas on Tuesday and omg was it a crazy trip! We missed our flight out of as so we had a three hour layover in Portland, the hotel had no lights and we had to sleep on a double bed made out of a concrete Slab, then on the way home our plane was delayed causing us to miss our connection so we had to spend the night in LA. I also realized that if you don't Sri k of gamble Or act like a slut Vegas is not a very fun place. I did like the weather though! It was beautiful and it was so nice spending all that time together. We are actually stronger for it LOL. I did learn two things though: I hate flying, and I will never fly on United again! Will I ever visit Vegas again? Probably not.
